Data & Privacy

Your privacy, in plain language

Health Worth is built to give you useful estimates without asking you to hand over your identity or health history. This page is maintained by the Health Worth team to explain exactly how that works and what measures are in place to protect the data you provide.

Your privacy: No signup. No data stored. Your results live in a private link only you have.

Our four data principles

No account, no login

You don't sign up, sign in, or create a profile to use Health Worth. There is no user database because there are no users to track.

Processed in your browser

The numbers you enter - procedure, ZIP code, insurance basis - are processed on your device. They drive the calculation right where you typed them.

Results live in a private link

Your inputs are encoded into the results URL itself. The link is your report. If you don't share it, no one else can see it.

Nothing stored, nothing sold

We do not save your health inputs or personal data on a server. We do not sell, rent, or share what you enter with advertisers, brokers, or third parties.

How the shareable link works

When you run an estimate, the procedure, ZIP code, and pricing basis are placed in the URL's query string (for example,?procedure=knee-replacement&zip=60601). Loading that URL recreates the same report. Anyone you give the link to can see the report; anyone you don't, can't. We do not log, index, or analyze the contents of those links on a server.

Measures we take to protect your data

Privacy isn't just a promise - it's reflected in how the site is built and operated.

Encrypted in transit (HTTPS)

Every page on Health Worth is served over HTTPS, so the data flowing between your browser and our hosting provider is encrypted in transit.

No health inputs at rest

Because your calculation runs in your browser and we don't write your procedure, ZIP, or price basis to a server-side database, there is no stored health profile of you to leak.

No third-party advertising trackers

Health Worth does not run third-party ad networks, advertising pixels, or cross-site marketing trackers on its pages.

Least-privilege backend

Any backend services we do use (for example, sending you a reply when you contact us) are scoped to only what they need to perform that task, and not to your estimate inputs.

What we don't collect

  • Names, email addresses, or phone numbers (unless you choose to email us)
  • Insurance member IDs, plan details, or claims data
  • Medical records, diagnoses, or provider names
  • Payment information
  • Advertising or cross-site tracking identifiers

What happens if you contact us

If you email us at contact@healthworth.com, we use your message and email address only to reply to you. We don't add you to a marketing list, and we don't share your message with third parties.

Your choices

  • Use Health Worth without sharing anything personally identifying.
  • Close the tab to discard your inputs - they aren't persisted on a server.
  • Decide whether and with whom to share your results link.
  • Email us to ask a question or request that a message you sent be deleted.

A note on scope

Health Worth is a decision-aid, not a clinical or insurance system. This page describes the practices of the Health Worth site itself and is not a regulatory certification (such as HIPAA, SOC 2, or ISO). If your use case requires certified handling of protected health information, please contact us before relying on the tool.
